During the year 2005, the Spain National Institute of Consumer Affairs (The former Instituto Nacional de Consumo - INC) from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs awarded BIU with the official distinction of consumer protection.
During the year 2005, the Spain National Institute of Consumer Affairs (The former Instituto Nacional de Consumo - INC) from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs awarded BIU with the official distinction of consumer protection.
The former Instituto Nacional de Consumo - INC from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs was replaced in 2014 by AECOSAN (Agencia Española de Consumo) from the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
This official seal provides a solid international consumer protection and a unique guarantee to all BIU students in Spain, Europe and worldwide. Bircham International University was the institution number 364 that have been granted this seal, out of more than 50.000 corporations.
In 2011, BIU was also audited and granted the ONLINE TRUST seal which is the demonstrates the highest level of ethical commitment and responsibility towards consumers. This Online Trust seal is also endorsed by the Spain National Agency of Consumer Affairs (Agencia Española de Consumo - AECOSAN).
The applicable law is Decreto 84/2004 de 13 de Mayo (Enseñanza General).
