The AHEA - Adult Higher Education Alliance, a non-profit corporation, is an association of individuals and institutions committed to the quality of adult education.

The AHEA - Adult Higher Education Alliance, a non-profit corporation, is an association of individuals and institutions committed to the quality of adult education.

The primary mission of the AHEA - Adult Higher Education Alliance is to serve professionals and institutions offering alternative undergraduate and graduate degree programs for adults by fostering the exchange of ideas, supporting the professional development of members, and serving as an advocate for adult students and alternative degree programs for adults.
 
AHEA - Adult Higher Education Alliance begun in 1974 with the support of the college of New Rochelle, the Alliance has grown to include over 350 individual and institutional members. These members come from small private colleges, large public universities, community colleges, and non-traditional state institutions. They are united by their commitment to adult students, adult education professionals, good quality alternative degree programs for adults, and research supporting an efficient adult higher education.

Bircham International University became an institutional member of the Adult Higher Education Alliance in 2003.
