The UNINTER International University Center was created in 2012 in Brazil, from the merger between the Faculdade Internacional de Curitiba (FACINTER) and the Faculdade de Tecnologia de Curitiba (FATEC).

The UNINTER International University Center had the aim of overcoming geographical barriers to bring quality education throughout Brazil. To achieve this, UNINTER invested in an extremely qualified teaching team and cutting-edge technologies. Headquartered in Curitiba, UNINTER has studios equipped with the best in digital technology to produce, edit and transmit classes and complementary content throughout Brazil, which can be watched in any of the more than 800 In-person Support Centers or in anywhere else, thanks to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that can be accessed via notebook, tablet or cell phone.
UNINTER offers more than 400 courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, master's and extension courses, in face-to-face, blended and distance learning modes. There are diverse areas of knowledge and a great range of possibilities for graduate students. Today, with almost 25 years accumulated between FACINTER, FATEC and Centro Universitário, UNINTER serves more than 250,000 enrolled students, with quality courses recognized by the MEC Ministry of Education in Brazil, the Brazilian Association of Distance Learning, and earning Top Education Awards, among many others.
UNINTER is one of the largest higher education institutions in Brazil. The excellence of UNINTER's academic programs is reflected in its consistently high ratings from Brazil’s Ministry of Education, which awarded UNINTER the top rating (Level 5) during its institutional re-accreditation.
In 2023, the UNINTER International University Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bircham International University for mutual recognition and academic exchange, research and collaboration.
