The IASSW - International Association of Schools of Social Work holds consultative status with the United Nations. Through its work at the UN and with other international organizations, IASSW represents social work education at the international level.

In the year 2020, Bircham International University was admitted as a member school of the IASSW - International Association of Schools of Social Work.
